Hi, I have specific questions regarding disputes.

    1) What happens when you dispute a line that says
"never late" when on the Experian report, it lists the
creditor with many (5+) 30,60,90 late as well as a
    chargeoff?

Of these possible positive outcomes, which is correct?
    a) all 30,60,90 late payments are taken off, and paid
on time is noted, but chargeoff remains

    b) everything including chargeoff is changed to PAID
    on time

    c) entire listing is removed

    2) Second question, when disputing the above scenario,
is it better to say "not mine"?

    3) When collection agencies such as coldata, cavalry
investments purchase from the creditors and their date
on the CR is 1/01, does the 7 year date start from
there or from the original last activity from the
original creditor and is it still possible to
negotiate w/ the original creditor? But isn't this
bad to do because once you start "negotiation process
in settlement", it changes the activity date to
    current even w/o a payment?

Thanks again for all the help...

7 years from the date of last activity. As far as your first ? I don't quite understand what you are saying.

Let me clarify my question.. I have a listing on my CR that lists an account that has multiple late listings (5+) including 30,60,90 day late payments and a chargeoff.. now I would like to dispute this. WOuld it be better to dispute this as "not mine" and get the whole thing erased or "never late and never charged off" and hope the creditor doesn't verify.. in the case where they don't verify, will the line just be erased (same result as saying not mine) or will they actually correct it to say "pays as agreed"?? that's my question.. thanks again

If they don't verify then the CRA will update it according to your dispute. So, if you dispute it as "never late" they will change it to that. If you dispute it as "not mine" they will delete it. But, if you do dispute it as never late and they no longer have a record of your account they may actually respond that there's no record so it could then be deleted.

However, if you dispute it as never late and they DO verify then you won't likely be able to get it deleted later because you'd have already admitted it was yours by saying you were never late. So you'll just have to use your best judgement. How old is the account? What type of account is it?

    Don't ever make that mistake!!
In fact, don't ever tell them anything at all. Bad move.
Why? It's against the law to knowlingly make any false statement to a credit bureau. It can get you an invitation to spend more than a few nights at the crossbar hotel. While I understand that the establishment can give you a great sense of security, the fringe benefits aren't worth a damn!

    What constitutes Valid verification??

Ahh!! Now that's one of the questions I teach you the answer to in my creditwrench program.
