I just got off the phone with EQ and they have no file under my SS#. Which is odd because I have been getting monthly reports. I gave the CSR an earlier confirmation # which she said went through but still my SS# was not recognized. Under normal circumstances I would be thrilled to lose all the derogs, but I am closing in 2 weeks and think this may present a problem to my lender. Any suggestions?
Hopefully it will not. I would tell the lender about this and ask them to pull another report, but you may risk lowering your score with another inquiry. If they get it, then wait until after you close to follow up with EQ. If not, that's a cause for more action. Try pulling your report with a 3rd party. http://consumers.creditnet.com/cs/creditreports.html
I tried to access through PrivacyGuard without any luck. According to my loan officer because I am getting a conventional loan there will not be another credit report pulled prior to closing. Does this sound right? Is it possible that EQ locked my file temporarily and my enitre history will reappear down the road?
Doesn't the FICO software count all mortgage inquiries within a 30-day period as being only one inquiry for purposes of the FICO score?
I'd like to know the answer to that too.....They counted each mortgage inquiry as seperate for me, lowering my score by 70 points on EQ and about 30 points on TU and EX! I went through a mortgage broker who searched around for the best interest rate, therefore several inquiries were pulled on me.
Multiple inq's They way I understand it all similar inq's (auto, home, insurance, etc.) that occur in a 14 day period are supposed to be lumped together for the sake of scoring (count as 1). This is what I have read. However I have experienced a 2-3 point ding for any inq regardless of timing.
