I sent CSC a letter disputing an account. They sent me a letter requesting: 1. Xerox of Drivers License, lease agreement or Ultility Bill 2. Copy of Social Security Card or Pay Stub with SS# 3. List of my Credit Card accounts/Acct numbers 4. Addresses for the past 5 years 5. Date of Birth 6. Day Phone Number 7. Evening Phone Number 8. Signature If I do not send them all of this information, does this mean they will no longer process any of my disputes? Thanks in advance for your help!
What??? Do they even have a file on you? Have you seen it? It seems to me they are trying to build one. I think I might try the notarized statement with these guys, they are going pretty far. You know every bit of this will end up in your report. If you want it there, fine, otherwise I would go another route. I have no problem with DL, SS card, utility bill. These are reasonable. Another avenue - is this office nearby? Why not take the letter and go there. You can show them proof of who you are, but you don't have to give them something they can keep.
I have a xerox copy of my Social Security Card and Drivers License ready to send off to CSC as proof of my identity. As long as no one sees any problem with doing this, I will send it in the mail on Monday.
