Mail today was a letter from Equifax Atlanta Ga (staple on letter nothing attached on my end) asking for identity proof before any investigation can begin The want a copy of 1 each category: Identity ss card W2 form pay stub w/ ss # Address: copy of drivers license rental lease agreement or house deed Pay stub w/ address Utility Bill All my disputes went to Equifax in Texas What the H@ll is going on? I received my dispute results via mail and a final today w/ a phone call asking about the reinvestigation. Anyone
They seem to be stalling for time. I don't believe you have to provide all that. Check the archives here for posts on the subject. I can't recall where I have seen info. concerning that b.s. but there is a way to challange.
Hermit Thanks I will do a search The Texas office has already done their investigation and updated results. I was going to do another dispute but this has thrown a curve in my plans. I think equifax is doing more than drugs lately.
