Hey all, I disputed a inquiry from a HMC Finance corporation and they just sent me back a letter stating

    Dear MrXXXXXXX

If you are disputing the validity of our inquiry of your credit report, We advise you to contact Experian Directly At 1-888-397-3742 or on the web at WWW.Experian.com/reportaccess. They will gladly guide you through the dispute process.

Now I thought the CRA's do not handle disputes for inquiries? how should I proceed? Any Ideas?

Send Experian a letter - dont call. You can dispute the validity of anything on your credit report and they have to 'reinvestigate' the item (note: the original investigation is supposed to occur when the entry was made to ensure it belongs on your credit report, hence the term reinvestigation). Most likely Experian will delete the inquiry if you put it in writing.

Did you attempt to validate or just initiate a disputa with the CRA?

===Validation is for a CA not OC or CRA.
