I'm desperately seeking help in regards to a problem with Equifax. Let me explain. For some reason mostly probably due to someone fraudently using my name as a Jr same Social Same DOB etc etc I have accounts that I disputed with Superior Asset Management. They both were deleted on September 15, 2003 per EQ letter. Now on October 3 I get two reports one with the Jr and the one with my real name. Both Identical. I sent in documentation to have the JR deleted and removed and that the files not be seperated. EQ doesn't seem to get it. Blah Blah Blah talking to Supervisors etc etc. This supervisor is trying to tell me that the same account numbered account with Superior Assett was deleted off the JR File but not off the Main file. I know this may seem confusing. For all intensive purposes say my name is Joe Blow. They have two files 1. Joe Blow 2. Joe Blow, Jr Same DOB same SSN everything. I went around and around with the supervisor today Sherry Team 2 who says that they have to reverify with Superior since the amounts were different. No where in my last 6 months of reports from EQ is it being reported with a different amount. I threatened the FTC and a lawyer which didn't amount to diddly. What should I do? Does anyone on here have a contact email addy or something to someone with knowledge other than to give me canned responses and that. Also I had an account with Financial Business Group in South Florida. I spoke to the guy like 5 times now. He has submitted the account for deletion back in August using the forms that they use to communicate with EQ. They tell me it's not good enough. So He faxes me another set of copies of stuff that he sends to EQ. Still not good enough as I faxed them to EQ as well. This guy like myself is getting tired of doing EQ job for them. They don't seem to get it. They can't verify the account as mine doesn't even match up correctly and he's doing the right thing as a Creditor or Collection Agency by removing it. But EQ refuses to remove it. Blah Blah Letterhead etc etc. This is like an uphill battle going nowhere with EQ. Do you guys/gals have a number, email or a contact person in EQ that I can talk to about this ongoing abuse of my rights.
Bump is right, lets get this guy some answers folks Sorry.......I'm just the janitor.............(whistles......) SnakeMan
I am having the same problems with EQ. I have a paid collection that the CA agreed to a Goodwill deletion. After an ITS the CA sent me ample proof they told EQ to delete it on multiple occasions. I have sent an ITS with proof to EQ. No reply yet. I would love a personal contact, phone or fax. The whole situation with the proof provided by the CA is ludicrous that it keeps reporting.
Scary...I have 5 different CA who I have paid in exchange for deletion in the last couple weeks. Those CA consist of about 8-14 actual accounts on my bureaus. I hope EQ doesn't mess with me. SnakeMan
SO I TAKE IT YOU REALLY CAN GET A SETTELMENT FOR DELETION. I REALLY COULD USE A GOOD LETTER THAT HAS WORKED IN THE PAST. THANKS
Hi just another run down on this problem. Superior Asset Management failed to validate. EQ pulled it off the JR report but left it on the True File even though both files are exactly identical. Well for the exception one lists Jr and the other lists my valid name. What they don't seem to get and I'm trying to figure out there logic. ( Ha Ha ) Logic with a CRA that's a contradiction in terms. The files ( Superior ) are the exact same account down to the acct #. But the idiots at EQ are telling me that they have to redispute it. DOH I just got finished explaining to them that I'm not a JR and when you take one account off one file it should come off the other. But no they are obviously too bullheaded to understand that. I say logic cause a reasonable person would assume that when an account is deleted it's deleted. I've got em on numerous foul ups and the supervisor is quite riffed at me for bringing it up to them about there mistakes. Giving me a line of red tape and procedures. I filed a complaint with the FTC since this has been ongoing since August 1 and they refuse to respond other than to say they are going to redispute an account that they say in there own words was deleted. <scratching head > The guy at the other CA is baffled that they do this kind of stuff to people and actually get away with it. He's upset cause he's in the crosshairs of being sued along with the CRA. He can't verify the account and the information doesn't match up. I have 3 forms that he sent me via fax Uniform Collection Forms or something to that effect that creditors or CA use to update or respond to consumer disputes. On all three of them it says Delete Unable to verify. This information has been sent by mail, fax from Financial Business Group and Equifax keeps stonewalling them ( there subscriber ) of all people and me. I just did what they told me to do and sent the forms that the CA sent to me. Blah Blah. Then I have a couple Marlin Intergrated accounts that aren't mine and the CA hasn't responded in almost 50 days to my CRRR requests for validation and proof of debt. They EQ delete one day and it reappears the next. I think part of my problem is this JR surname that isn't me. Starting to feel like I have a dual personality or something. If any of the experts or gurus have any information to add I would appreciate it. I'm about to go Nutso on EQ any day now. Thanks in advance for any replies. TU 10/1/03 644 EX 10/1/03 580 EQ Things keep appearing and disappearing and reappearing at will.
You may have to sue them. It sounds like you have a "split file". It sounds like its a crapshoot on what file is pulled what day. You may have to go apply for some credit to get denied, and then sue them for the big bucks. That usually gets their attention. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
Yeah, Jlynn is right. When you get to the point your at, you have few choices and backing down is not one of them. Start the process of suing them. SnakeMan
