I'm a newbie. I went to apply for a mortgage and found that Equifax had me 80 points under the others. I have paid off two mortgages in the past 2 years and they dont show at all on equifax. They have the wrong addresses for me also.

I have been trying to get a phone number for them and I'm not getting anywhere. What should I do first? It is really hurting me now that i need a mortgage and I cant even get a person on the phone to tell them about my good accounts.

    help, thanks
    Jim B.

I'd see about getting the mortage companies to report too (just in case the bureau can't do anything). There's a chance they (the mortgage co) can update stuff, and your account will show.

I know it's a pain to get good accounts to report........

    Good luck!

If you have a printed report for them, that report will have the phone number to call to dispute. They change their active dispute number frequently.

If the data furnisher is not sending data to them, they won't report the data.

Now, there may be an option for you to request that they add the positive tradelines, but they will more than likely charge you for this.

I hear ya, and I heard about companies that do that.

Ew, I think that's tacky when companies do that too, cause if a company uses yer report to give ya credit, they should report themselves to it too!
    And for free.
