I just started fixing my credit and found alot of discrepencies<my spelling stinks> how so I dispute them and I know that I can send a letter to some of these places but I have no Idea what the letter is and where to find it I need help fast Please show simpathy....DX
Hi - welcome aboard. First off, take a deep breath. Click on the discussions tab at the top of the page, then click on sample letters. Just find one you like, paste it to a word file and alter it to your settings, i.e. I was not 60 days late, that's not my acct. etc. You can also sign up for a 30 day trial at creditexpert.com - from there you can get your Experian report and dispute items on-line. Just find a negative item, click dispute and for reasons, say either "not mine" or "never late" - then wait for a month. Best if you can dispute the company on all three reports at the same time. But don't dispute more than 3-4 items at once, else you'll look suspicious. Above all - be patient, and feel free to ask any questions.
