I have tried to pull my Equifax and Experian reports from Internet -- I get a msg saying they are unable to do so "...for my protection". I DID get one pulled from TransUnion. WHY can't I get any from the other two? Has someone else already pulled it from them? HOW do I talk to Experian or Equifax on the phone -- the 800 numbers are impossible to get a live person to talk to. Help! I need this ASAP. Appreciate any help given.

Welcome to da wonderful world of identity protection...haha.

Sometimes there's differences in what's typed in, and what's on the reports, and if they don't match, they won't let you pull it online. Not that what you typed in isn't true, but to protect you, they won't let you pull it.
The message is aggravating, but nope, it doesn't mean someone else has pulled it :)

I don't have the current #'s, and alot of people like the phone, but if you got the time, I'd write and request my reports, and send it registered mail, so ya know they got it.

Too, all 3 bureaus don't work together, so ya, you can pull from 1 or 2, but not the others sometimes.

If you were unable to pull your scores, they should have given you an address to write them to obtain your reports. Once, when the same thing happened to me with TU, they sent me a letter with a code to input into the computer to retrieve my reports. I would write a letter to them explaining the situation and see what response you get.

Also, you shouldn't TALK to Credit Reporting Agencies. You should write them. And keep a copy of all correspondence for your records.

i had the same problem. There was a simple remedy. Money. You know money talks. Go to the CRA home page and attempt to sign up for one of their services. You will receive that same blocking message but there will also be a contact/customer service number given. Call and tell them you are trying to sign up for any online program and you can't get past the security question.

The equifax rep just asked me to name 2 accounts I may have and approximately how much do I think I owe. My amounts were in the ball park so she unlocked the screen name and password that I chose during the failed logon attempts. Then I was able to hang up and log in. No, I didn't purchase the service from her. Use the report you do have as a reference to list potential accounts with the CRAs your are locked out of.
