    Butch,
Go to the Lexis site and there is an option to pay by credit card for an individual case transcript..pay $9 and it will be yours. I am now on the road to FL to visit the law school to which I am applying. I have resigned form my job so no more free access to Lexis and Westlaw.

If you don't want to pay...given your proc livity for legal research...go to your nearest law library aznd have the librarian point you in the direction of the California reporters...if you want to do legal research without paying for Lexis et al you will have to learn to "go to the books".

You might try clipi or the Cal. asssembly bill
    AB 156.

    Wenger v. Trans Union
In 1996, CLIPI prevailed in Wenger v. Trans Union, obtaining a record setting verdict of $200,000 for a victim of credit "identity theft" as well as the nation's first court order compelling a credit bureau to clean up a consumer's credit report. This case -- covered extensively by the national press -- paved the way for a nationwide discussion of the rapidly escalating problem as well as CLIPI-authored Assembly Bill 156, extensively reforming credit bureau practices. AB 156 was passed out of the Assembly on a unanimous vote
