Ok I applied for a federal position. I just got off the phone with HR from their department. She said it was good that I listed the negative items from my report but, she is wanting me to send a letter stating which accounts are mine and which I am making payments on. She even suggested CCCS or whatever it is. I really do not plan to pay those accounts but, to get the items deleted or removed from my report. She said a letter stating the items are not mine would work but, I am not trying to not be truthful about the tradelines...(thought---maybe I can put in the letter the items are reported inaccurately would that be toooo vague??) Any suggestions would help...
It won't matter. The big issue is being truthful with them. This plays heavily on getting the required security clearances. I would be honest but not give too much information.
Ok, When I write the letter I was thinking about putting exactly what happened with some of the CA's....no validated or verified or no response. Now, I have a medical account that was validated for $224.00...have not made any contact with them since then....I don't want to say that account is not mine or was not validated that is not be truthful so, should I make some type of settelment with them???? But the settlement might not even in time to make any kind of impact on me getting or not getting the job. Also, Merchants Recovery Services has a bad ck for $57.00 and I have never sent validation to them (did not want to open a can of worms) what should I do about that situation. Thx Mom for all of your advice.
Tea, email me privately and I can give you exactly what they are looking for and what you will need to do and how you might be able to get around somethings.
