I still haven't gotten my actual report from them. I pulled a 3 in 1 and disputed off them. They kept sending letters saying the address wasn't correct (to my current address by the way). Obviously, if I'm getting the letters and calling you back, don't ya think I live there. Dolts. I got a letter from them the other day saying acknowledging receipt of my disputes.

Don't fret... Could be a mingled file and they are trying to secure the correct address. Reply by sending a copy of your DL, Voided Check, Utility bill or something with your address. BLACK out any information you don't want them to see such as account numbers.

If they don't think it's you filing the report, they'll claim it is friviolous and not start an investigation. Help them out a little by proving it is you and removing their option!

    good luck,

Bkev....that's a wonderful idea....unfortuantely, I had sent them the same copies of my DL and a utility bill and a paycheck stub 3 TIMES!!!! All of which had the address they were sending letters to. I spoke to them on the phone twice, faxed the infomarion over twice and still haven't gotten my report yet.

TU is the s-l-o-w-e-s-t CRB of them all about getting you a copy of your report. I mean it, 2-3 weeks is not unusual.

It's as though they have to walk to the forest, select and chop down a tree (with a butter knife, no less), make some paper, then print your report, then make some more paper for the envelope, then mail it to you seventh class!

Each time I get it now, if it's not an automatic update froma Junum dispute, by the time it arrives, I've already forgotten what prompted me requesting it in the first place.

    Sheesh!

    Hi

I noticed someone advised you to send your Drivers License or Void Check. That is a NO NO...!! Never send license, void check, copy of your social security card, or your pay stub w/ your social to a Credit reporting Agency or Collection Agency. This makes it easier to find out information about you and use it against you later, if the occasion may arise, with Judgments, liens, HELP Collectors, and etc etc. Just send them a copy of your utility bill, phone bill, or copy of your credit card statement with the mailing address. These should be plenty to get your credit reports. I have fraud alerts and this has always worked for me!

    Good Luck

I blacked out everything but the addess and the name of my company which they already had. You have to pick and choose the info you want the CRA to receive.

If you would like to send that you can.

But.. I can say a Utility Bill always works the best.

Keep Us Posted once you finally get the ;-)

    MG,

What can they do with a DL that they can't do with a utility bill?

I don't have any collectors after me, or I guess I would know, LOL.

Well, hold on, I did get a call after a check of mine got returned in the mail (the envelope all torn up and wrapped in plastic), and I forgot to send another one. It was funny. The gal was all mean and gruff, and I said, "I'm sorry I forgot it, but I did mail it on such and such a date. Please let me know if you don't get it in a day or two." She wanted the check number (that still baffles me), so I gave it to her. It cleared my bank a few days ago. No harm done. I thanked her for calling.. teehee.
