I was told to come to this website for help. Please bear with me as this post might end up being a little long.

Basically I'm 23 now and am working full-time and pursuing my degree full-time. Having run away from home at 17, I accrued some bad debt and now am saddled with collection accounts, late payments on a car loan, and just generally bad credit. My current score is at 490.

I started working on disputing entries on my report a couple of months ago. I have gotten about 6 entries on Experian taken off through my disputes. I was wondering if since they were taken off on Experian, could Equifax and Transunion take them off as well since the accounts weren't confirmed?

Also, I have collection accounts with Sears, JC Penney and IC Systems. I was told they may be a pain to deal with. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any suggestions on deleting late payments being reported on a car loan through chase, as well?

Basically, I am desparate to try and get my credit score improved. I will do anything I need to do. I have a decent cashflow now and am looking to start a family in the not-too-distant future and I would really like to be able to start off clean when that happens. So if anyone can help, even if you would like me to "hire" you, if you can get me the quickest results possible, I would probably go for it. I was told Alex and Fightforyourrights would be able to help. Thank you so much.

They might do that but not by trying to get them to share information or sharing information by sending them your report from Experian. You should never attempt do that according to the credit repair experts. Personally, I never fool around with credit repair. I think there are much better ways to get the job done although it is reported that about half of one's negatives might be expected to fall off rather easily.
Sears especially. I don't know about IC Systems. If they are a collection agency then it should be no problem at all.
Late payments can be a real pain to get off as well.
Don't believe I've ever heard of them.

Welcome to the board! Unfortunately you will have to dispute the entries separately.

As for the rest - you should read the INTRO posts stuck to the first page of this board. Most need to read them several times to get a grip on what needs to be done. Congratulations on making the right start!

With the collection agencies, you will probably start with validation letters. There is a great post by Butch on this. http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra....php?s=&threadid=42188&highlight= validation

    Good luck to you!
