Now, if they were to do that to me and start giving me some bureaucratic bullsh** about how they can make a mistake in five seconds but need two weeks to straighten it out and in the mean time I can't pay my mortage or buy grceries, THEN I escalate the matter into a criminal matter. If it's such a small matter, put the money back in my account NOW and YOU figure out where and how to justify it in your books. Or better yet, Mr banker, transfer it from YOUR acount to mine now and YOU live without that money for the two weeks, two months or two decades you will need to straighten it out.
oh GOOD GRIEF!!!! If my bank did that to me I would blow a FUSE!!!! I only read the first few responses but the mere fact that you have to visit the bank to straighten this out makes me SICK... This should of never happened... BASTARDS!!!!!! did you mention what bank this was??
