I have a collection account listing on my credit report. I tried validating with the CA. They sent me a letter saying they show NO record of having anything with them. They said it must be an error. I disputed it with the CRA and sent a copy of the letter the CA sent me with my dispute. The never answered in the 30 day time period, so I sent them another letter. Still no response (it has now been 57 days). It is still reporting on my account and now the status of it says "checked"??? I don't know where to go from here. Anyone got any good advice?
I would send the CA another letter stating you'd like them to notify the CRA that there is not any alleged debt for said TL. A lot of times when the CRA gets the notification from the CA/OC to delete in a situation like this, they delete it no questions asked. I have had happen a few times. Next if that does not happen, I would send an ITS letter to the CRA outlining the time line and documentation again, demanding they remove the TL IMMEDIATELY or a lawsuit would be approaching. That may be you last letter for this situation. Hope this helps!
