First of off I would like to say hi to everyone, Im a newbie so go a head and make fun of the newbie with your newbie jokes ...lol I have been reading the forums of a few weeks now and got a lot of ideals from hear and sample letters (thanks everyone for the info). Im on my way of getting my credit report cleaned up. I have had alot of succes in removing old items that where including in my bk. I have about five more to go witch I know are going to be the hard ones, like bank of america, sears . ( Any suggestions on these two creditors would be appreciated ) Any way I have been trying to educate my self on how to go about removing my 5 yr 8 mo. yr old bk. (its birthday is may 13 ) But what have been reading is that people who have been getting them removed are people that find something wrong in on their report . unfortunately every thing on my report is correct except for tu their is one to many zeros in middle of the case number . The amount charged off was correct the dates also correct. So if anyone out their has any other way to atack this please let me know . I was thinking maybe if i sent a letter to the court house I might have a better reponce. If anyone agreess and knows how to do this way please feel free to let me know how to go about it. As for the bk, if the account number is incorrect (1 too many zeros is incorrect), you can dispute it as "I never had a BK with case #XXX." Is this a BK 7 or 13?
