Is this the date opened or the date that you paid? They violated FDCPA by pulling a a report for a paid debt.
You might send the nutcase but I'd make sure to include their violation and ask for your $1k. My guess is you might never see the money but the collection might just disappear.
If I only have one violoation what can I do to get them to delete. I know the PP is worth 1,000 and I sure could use that money. I read a few post where people didn't sue but demanded the money in a letter. What should my next step be.
Perhaps the letter itself will be cause enough for deletion on their part. You'll never know until you try. Good luck!!
