Help please? Collection info?

    Any one know where I can go, call, write to find out if a collection agency is licensed in my state? I live in AZ.

    try az attorney general's office, office of consumer affairs??

    You need to check the Az. state banking dep't.

    This link is to an alphabetical list of licensed collectors.

    Also see if they can "do business" in your state. Check with the secretary of state.

    I found out that they don't have to be licensed or bonded in CA.

    What state are you in? They may have to be there.
