    I posted in the past and did not get much help. I am hopig that someone could pointme on the right direction.

    Here is the Deal;

    I have a listing on my report from Domestics, I asked them for validation and they sent me a print out of their system showing that there was a debt owed to them at one point in time. Anyway they went on further and told me that they stopped reporting the debt 4 years ago and sent a transmital to credit Bureaus telling them that to update the information.

    Anyway on my report it was showing as I owed them 600 dollars or so, however on the computer print out there was a balance of 3k. Bottom line is that I never paid and the wife and I where toghether and aparently for some reason they where triying to collect back then. My wife droped domestics as soon as we found out that they where still triying to collect support from me.

    So I sent a letter of dispute to the CRA and instead of marking the account as closed they mark the account as being under chapter 13. I sent them a seccond letter telling them that I never filed chapter 13 and just recently i get a letter back from them telling me that information wa verrified.

    It is obvious that they did not verrify info because if they had they would know that i never filed chapter 13.

    I am triying to locate an attorney in the west palm beach area that would handle thi type of case but have had no luck. What do you guys think, do I have a strong case to sue the CRA? Should I file myself on Federal?

    Lizard king if you are located near me in FL drop me a message.

    Thanks

    send a letter to domistications CMRRR and put this same # on your letter.

    ask them to send you a letter of deletion for this acct

    if they will not do this request that they send you documentation showing the current status of this acct and forward a copy to the CRA along with a request to either delete or update the inaccurate info that they are reporting.

    in your letter explain again that you have not filed a BK and ask how they obtained this info as none of your credit granters supplied it, ask if you may have a mixed file and request that they delete this inaccurate info from your report and give them about 21-30 days to do so. if after that time they refuse or fail to correct your report you will file a lawsuit under the FCRA.

    if all else fails obtain a lawyer and file suit for damages, and force them to comply.

    The dispute is with the reporting agency NOT the collection agency.

    THIS IS A FCRA case, NOT A FDCPA.

    I would recommend small claims court if this is your first suit.

    If I sue them, what am I looking at, deletion?
