This is a follow up to my "so depressed over credit" post. Ruined my birthday and Thanksgiving because I couldn't stop thinking about what my lawyer did/didn't do....

Anyhow, got my first CR since bk and found out that my mortgage was not reaffirmed. The paperwork filed said I would "retain collateral and continue to make payments," I thought it was reaffirmed as I told my lawyer to reaffirm it. Lawyer's office told me there must have been a "miscommunication." So today I find out from lender that there is a "lein" on my property and that the only way to get it removed it is to go to court OR to re-open my bankruptcy through the courts and have a lawyer fax a reaffirmation agreement to Wells Fargo (the lein holder).

I don't know what it involves to get a lein removed so that is what I need to find out first. Or, if it's best just to open my bk case and reaffirm. I sure could use some advice if you have any.

    Thank you,
    Claudia :)
