We have sent validation letters to Sears 3 times. They report a 0 balance but keep reporting it as a collection and 120+ days due. Sent validation letters to all 3 CRA and they all say verified 2 times. I heard that original creditors are not governed by the FCRA but how can we get them to listen to us?
When you disputed with the CRA's did you send copies of the letters and the green cards?? Just curious since I'm in a similar situation with them... GT
PFB(www.planetfeedback.com) them. your letter will go directly to the executive offices in Arizona. the billing/credit department is VERY difficult to deal with. i just requested to have 4 late pays removed and was successful using this method. it did take them 2 - 3 weeks to respond, but someone from there executive office called and said she already took care of it and i would receive confirmation in the mail. funny part is, i faxed the same letter to their billing dept and received a response saying DENIED! good luck
I am going through the same with Sears: 1. I sent a Planet FeedBack letter more than 2 months ago. No response. 2. I sent 2 CRRR letters in the past 2 months. No response. 3. I have disputed it 3 times with all CRAs. They validated each time. This is for a paid in full balance (about $3k) from 1996, which reports as paid/chargeoff settled for less than original amount (incorrect since it was paid in full). Mark
When I PFB'd Sears, I received a response from a lady by the name of Tabitha Jennings. She is in the Exec. Office in Arizona. Her number is 1-888-548-1458 ext.11919. She was very nice. She removed 1-30 day late, 2-60 day lates, and 1-90 day late!! Call and speak to her directly, she may be able to help you. Good Luck
I was wondering, how did you send the Planet feedback letter? I searched for Sears and the choices are: 1. Sears 2. Sears.Com I selected Sears and then "other" as the topic. It looks like the letter went to their IL office. Do you by any chance have the address of the AZ office the person you talked to is at? Thank you very much for the numbers! Mark
I chose Sears and supposedly it went to the prez of Sears. They exec. office address is: Sears National Bank 2626 S. Hardy Dr. Tempe, AZ 85282 Don't deal with the Ohio office. The IL address may just be a payment center. As you know they are difficult to deal with.
