Can we please keep the posts relevant to the topic? I appreciate the attempts at humor, but the problem I am experiencing is less than funny and I don't really wish to read responses that are not even remotely on point. Please, let's keep on topic. If you have other topics of interest, please start a new thread. Thanks. -chriscraft
chriscraft: I can appreciate your feelings. I thought we had pretty well analyzed your problem and that as a result the answer should be obvious, but let us recap. First of all one of the CRAs claimed that you had used a credit repair organization back when in an attempt to "illegally" make or delete certain adverse remarks on your credit history. As a result they plan to go back a few years and re-verify everything they can and stick it all back on your file, thereby saddling you up with all of the mess you started out with in the first place or nearly so. Is that not right? So you want to know what you can do about that, right? To me, there are only 4 different avenues of approach to your problem. 1. Forget about it, throw up your hands and cry a lot. Not an acceptable answer. 2. Start all over, redisputing everything hoping that they won't catch you a second time. 3. Claim they bum-rapped you and sue them. 4. If the old ways don't work find a totally new, different and better way of doing it. Something that does work and involves something other than mudwrestling with the pigs. Now then, if I were in your shoes, which of course I am not, I would find all of the first 3 solutions to be totally and completely unacceptable. Maybe you would rather try to find some way to sue them for it. Personally, I would look for an alternative to that because of the simple fact that it's usually easier to get relief in an outhouse than it is in a courthouse. Usually a whole lot cheaper too. I find that when life's problems seem to be about as bad as they could possibly be and I'm about ready to start choking the daylights out of somebody I'm far better off to look for a little humor in the situation because that allows me to clear away all the anger and look for the silver lining that's always right there staring me in the face. And if there is absolutely no humor to be found anywhere in the situation then the next best thing is to just forget about it until I cool off and start to think straight again. Then I'll come back to the problem, maybe in a day or two or more and look at it from a whole different perspective. An angry person never thinks very clearly.
Have you tried to contact the company that you worked with repairing your credit? I would at least try that and see if the problem has come up with them before and what they will do to help you. It seems that this could be a threat to their business if the CRA's are successful. I would think they would want to help.
