I am looking into signing up for sprintpcs service, and I am about positive that I will have to pay a deposit. Does anyone know the amounts of deposits that I may have to pay? Is it a flat rate or vary depending upon my credit. My equifax score is about 625. I am a college student, will that factor in? Thanks for any help?
I think the deposit amount varies. When my credit was in the toilet three years ago, they charged me $125 deposit, then refunded it a year later with interest. Scores were in the low 600's at the time. HTH!
Will there be a deposit charge for each phone? I will be getting one for my mother and one for myself, with the add a phone for 20.00 plan.
It was only a single deposit for two phones on the same account. This was in 8/2000, not sure if different now. They pulled Equifax, BTW.
Thanks so mucho for your help NiceGuy. I want to make sure I carry enough cash with me when i go to sign up!
Sprint is the most lenient of all of the wireless carriers, max they go is $250 deposit. You will be approved for 1 line if you need a deposit of $125 or $250. If you do not need a deposit, you can be approved from 1 to 5 lines.
okay. Is there anyway I can find out in advance whether I am going to need a deposit or not. So I will know whether or not I am able to also get my mother's phone?
Go to www.sprintpcs.com and place your order. Choose your plan and your phone or phones, and enter your information. They will not ask for your credit card information unless you are buying a phone that costs $$. They have a free phone offer on the Nokia 3385i right now. They will tell you online if you are approved or if you need a deposit. If they can't verify your information they will give you an 800# to call to provide additional verification, or send you to a store. They will not charge your credit card a deposit if you give it to them to order a phone, unless you accept the terms of the deposit and authorize them to do it.
my girlfriend was approved no deposit she just can't go over 125.00 in a month. Her score is 620 FICO EQ. I do have to tell you Sprint has the worst customer no-service out there. I have had them for 5 years and when it comes to ever changing your plan or disputing a charge good luck.
