I've nearly had it with equifax and their shady business practices, and am readying a small claims case against them. Problem is, I don't know if I should sue the Local Affiliate or Equifax itself, can anyone offer a suggestion on which I should do and why? Also, if I should sue the former, my local affiliate is called "Credit Bureau Information Services" which is apparently the division of a bigger company called Firstpoint resources. I have no idea how to go about suing this company and how if I should go after the local affiliate-- Should I serve the corporation that they're a division of or should I simply serve CBIS itself? Any insight and replies with lawsuit experiences would be very, very, VERY appreciated.
Yep. I agree with Lizard. If you have been dealing with a local office, then that is who you need to go after.
