Hereâ??s the deal. · Disputed a charge off â?? CRA claims verified · Contacted Original Creditor â?? clms acct purged only shows sold or transferred 5/96. Sent certified ltr which was signed for demanding proof of claim. They didnâ??t responded. · CRA- changed the charge off to read zero balance â?? acct transferred or sold. They claim they were instructed that way. The DOLA was 12/94 and I want this off my record. What should I do?
Nins, According to my calculation that should fall off your report this month. Make sure it does! Also, make sure they didn't reage the account when they changed the notation. If the last date of activity was 12/94, I am surprised they didn't remove it. Did I read your post correct?
Unfortunately, it also has transferred/account charged off 2807 written off. If they sold the acct can they still report it this way??
