Hello all. First time posting. I have been working very hard to fix my credit reports, which I have been for the most part successful. Still have collections on my accounts, but they only total approximately $2,000.00. All big accounts in good standing, paid as agreed, no lates and all paid off (prior mortgage, car payments, loans). My scores are still low (low 500's) and now seeking a credit card (not secured) that would help me re-establish my credit. Any suggestions on cards I would be approved for and that are not "out to get you"? Thank you for any and all help.

if you are in the low 500's you will not get an Unsecured card. I would go for a plains secured or a Orchard Secured. Better yet, I think its a bankone secured that after 1 yr of secured status with a good history the convert it to unsecured.

the only problem with plains is it costs 279 dollars to get the card... for a 300 limit (it does report to all 3 CA)

I personally have been denied for a car refinance, credit cards ect in the past few weeks... my scores SUCK.

Do you have any idea what the cut-off point is for credit cards, meaning FICO scores? Just curious. Hopefully one day I will have better scores. Also, is there a way to get your credit scores from all three bureaus without having to pay for them? I know there are the ones you can do the free trial credit report monitoring, but the scores are soooo inaccurate. Any help?

I just got a chevron card "creditbuilder card" apply online request it and call them it's a gas card but it's a start 300.00 limit . I plan to fill up once or twice a month and just pay it off every month online.
