Anyone speak Experian? Here's what I received from Experian regarding my recent online dispute of Midland. The Summary of Investigation Results says: Midland Outcome: Reviewed In my CR under Midland it says: Status: NO STATUS Status Details: This item was verified on 10-2002 and remains unchanged Date Opened: 8/2002 Reported Since: 7/2000 Date of Status: 7/2000 Your Statement: Account in dispute under Fair Credit Billing Act. Is Reviewed the same as Verified? What does status mean if there is "no status" but there is a status date of "7/2000"? And, why did they add the "Your Statement" part? Would Midland have added this? Any help is appreciated!
Wow you got the true rigga-maroll with Experian. Reviewed is verified...see the status section - (verified on 10-2002 and remains unchanged. However they updated the dates to "impossible to have occurred in that order" (reported since 2000 - opened 2002). updated the status to "no status" (who knows how that really affects you but it should not), and added a consumer statement to your listing which was not at your request. They seem to have botched this record up. The good thing is it works in your favor. I would send a note to Experian saying that you have previously asked for verification which they could not have gotten, the information is impossible to be correct, and they have 30 days to remove this listing or they will have to pay you $1000 (per FCRA). Document everything. Read up on others who have had similar experiences (search). Good Luck -Peace, Dave
Thanks for the quick response & not sending me directly to search! One more quick question, should I wait to the end of Nov. (for CHOD) & send this with the 2 other accounts I wanted to dispute or do it right away?
