I received an electronic letter from GE Money indicating that I was not approved for a Wal-mart credit card because my identity could not me verified. I applied online.
Did they give you the opportunity to provide proof of identity? Do you have a fraud alert on your reports?
Yes, I do have fraud alert on my credit report. I was called by a GE money rep. The rep asked questions related to my drivers licsence. I answered them all correctly. However, that wasn't good enough to verify my identity.
