Hi all: I disputed a TL w/EQ in reference to my DH CR. He has a charged off account with Providian which we paid about a month or two ago. Now I disputed with EQ as not mine and today I called to get an update of dipute and the Rep. tells me that the TL is still the same. Charge off and with a balance. I asked how could this be because I know that we paid it. I asked her how did they verify she says they called and Providian gave them his name and social security# and the amount owed/balance on account. what should I do next? Should I send validation letter?
