In Sept of this year I disputed HouseHold Auto on all three CRA because the amount owed was incorrect. (balance was 8k before daughter totaled the car, Insurance paid all but 2k balance). We amoritized the loan. October rolled around and DH was turned down everywhere for car loan. Come to find out HHA was reporting that the car was repo'd on all 3 CRA's. Oct 13th I called HHA and talked to them about the "repo" being reported. They acknowledged that it was a mistake and faxed me a letter to give to the finance companies stating that it was a mistake. I disputed this w/CRA's and in November I checked the CRA's again. EQ reporting that the account current/never late. EX and TU still show "repo". Dec 2nd, Ex-current/never late. TU-repo. I spoke to them again at HHA. (Now a manager is handling this account exclusivly) She said that she would send a "bullseye" to TU to have it corrected to show current/never late. Today I check and low and behold, it is still a "repo". Bad thing is that DH applied for credit at Discover and they pulled TU. The turndown letter states "repo" as rejection reason. PLEASE help me resolve this. These knuckleheads have given me a stack of rejection letters and headaches for the past 3+ months. I am through talking to them and am not sure how to proceed.
You might want to try contacting the Household 'Credit Bureau Dispute Department' - PO Box 1547 Chesapeake VA 23327 Fax: 757-523-7771 Tel: 757 523 3604 I would tell them that they have 24 hours to send you confirmation that corrected UDF's have been sent to all three Agencies or they will find themselves on the sharp end of a lawsuit for Christmas.
