I paid off my cable bill for $51 which was really my mistake because it was the prorated bill befor I moved. Now I have a collection agency on my report about a biill I already paid the original company. What legal form or letter do I use demanding them to take it off... It's my first negative since 7/2001 and it came in last month!!! Can it be removed since it has been paid even before validation? Thanks for your time!
I used my check card... I have a confirmation number... Does that help at all? At any rate it will show up as a payment to Time Warner in my online banking statement... Did I mees up?
NO...you didn't mess up. I just was trying to figure out if you had proof that the debt was paid and when. Since you have proof....VALIDATE!!!! make them prove you owe the money. Especially since you know they can't. Then you sue their pants off if they do validate. Good luck!
