Has anybody had success deleting items from American Express? I have four accounts that are appearing on my report. The accounts were including in a bankruptcy. However, one I believe is a duplicate account. I have disputed but all of them came back verfied. Any advice?
While PFB is low risk, there is little to no chance it will work for a BK/CO/Closed account. Amex is tough. I too am battling with them and I am using the CRA to get it off.
Pnwman, Please let me know how far you get with Amex. I have two chargeoffs with AMEX that I am currently paying off - should be done with them in August. The late and great Saar, IIRC, said that AMEX was very good about goodwill if you paid them back in full. If that doesn't work, hopefully I can follow your (successful) lead. -HDAlex
