Please Help with Another Newbie - Never used this Site Before Need some help from the veterans. I unfortunately had a BK back in the end of 03. I filed a Chapter 7 BK. I had avoided like the plague even looking at my credit report as the entire experience was so difficult. I FINALLY checked it and printed out my credit report just yesterday. In reading it over, I was wondering how I can start cleaning this up. In the status areas I am reading: Chaprter 7 Bankruptcy - Discharged. Does this mean it has to be 7 years until cleared off report...or can I start to work on this one. Also, written was Debt Included in Bankruptcy, past 60 days or past 120 days and also Account Charged off. Can I do anything about these as well? I have many accounts in good standing with all the information listed like Status: Paid, Closed and never late for over 10 accounts. So these are GOOD things and hopefully can be taken into account. I got my FICO score and have a 621 per Vantagescore. My grade is a D. Does anyone have any ideas on first step of action should be. I signed up for an Orchard card yesterday to at least start getting some more credit here. I have used only cash/debit card for the last 3-4 years, so I am very over the whole credit card usage. I have great paying job now and am really trying to get back to normal. I feel so ruined by this BK and need some advise from anyone. I had the most amazing FICO score before this and feel like crap. welcome.. I also have BK in 02, 03.. but were dismissed....didn't continue with the 13 payment plan.. was filed to cease further collection efforts while I tried to re-group finances and try to refi or do debt cons... I feel ruined too...it's depsressing, but I am encouraged by what I have been reading.. just need to see more posts from those with chap 13 experience. Good Luck!
