Hello, I'm having an issue with a CA and need some help. I have made payments in the past on an old Credit card account that got assigned to this CA. It's been a very long time however, and I stopped hearing from them. The balance is now $414, and they're calling me again. I guess it got transfered to yet "another" collector. I incurred the debt while living in CT, but live in TX now. It's listed as Charged off on my reports. I got their address today and am wondering should I send the verify letter, or is it too late for that because I already made payments to them? I wish I found this site earlier. Thanks for any help! Each and EVERY collection agency is required to send its own notice of validation rights. SO it may NOT be too late to send it
