    Greetings!

I have a very difficult time getting Experian to remove anything. I have had a BK, over a dozen collections and a few charge offs removed from both my TU and EQ.

All I get from EX is the standard "we have already investigated this item" response letter. I have sent certified, uncertified and carrier pigeon to no avail.

I have even threatened a lawsuit under FCRA.

Does anyone have any ideas? Do i just keep hammering them with letters? Do I call?

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Experian is refusing everything!

who knows why???? Suspicion is that they are going BK and noone is using them anymore. Dunno the truth of that. But signs are obvious.....

They kill their own website and sign under privacy guard. This allows them to dump all their programmers and IT support staff.

Disputes are coming back in a matter of days and when OC or CA contacted, they claim NO request made by EX for dispute response!

Since the average Joe does not understand the CR process, they are sending out form letters to Every dispute. Most folks won't follow up. Not to mention that the form letters rarely are consistent with the consumer issue. That shows an automated/staff reduction issue at their customer service center.

    You cannot get a supervisor.

You cannot get a response from legal or from their special handling department.

    GEEEEZZZZZ!!!!

    Thanks SCMomof5.

It is strangely comforting to know I am not the only one getting the run around.

One more question though, If they are not responding at all, what good would following up after 30 days do?

I guess I will just keep hammering on them and hope for the best.

    Thanks again!

    Matt

Just got a response today from EX on my dispute of old names and addresses. They removed the old names and addressess, but did not include an updated copy of my CR. Aren't they supposed to supply a corrected copy when you dispute information?

In all of my dealings with EX, I have rarely gotten a new copy of my report. I have always asked for one they just never include.

Well, I guess they must just like me or something, because out of the 5 or 6 disputes I've done for myself and DH since June last year, this is the first time they haven't sent a corrected CR. I'm sending a letter tomorrow asking for a corrected copy.

Has anyone had any luck with Experian in the last 3 - 6 months? It seems like that is when things started to change.

If so, what method/letter did you use?

    Thanks,

    Matt

I had Experian very quickly delete two derog accounts from my report. It was my first experience with them and they also sent me an updated copy of my CR. This was about two weeks ago.

If they are going down why don't we all just start filing lawsuits against them and help them out the door!

    LOL

experian has been a thorn in my side.

they accept no faxes they claim they dont get your CM when you have a signed RR

they ignore written requests for proof of method used for investigation procedures.

they sent out frivolos letters and do not investigate half of what they claim to and just slap on the report verified as accurate or ck.

they refuse proof that a debt is invalid from the consumer and claim they need to reinvestigate the acct so that they can leave it on your report for another 30 days.

    hmmm what else.

Wouldn't it be great if one of us could get a job at each CRA and be the "insider"

I am sure there is so much going on there that we have yet to know about.

They may not even look at half the mail they receive!

Anyone looking for employment...go to Experian!
Of course you must have a FICO of 825! LOL

My favorite is that they send a link via email to see your dispute results and the link goes to the wrong page. Class act.

I swear I had a whole dream about this the other night. I was the little "credit guardian angel" and every hour of every day I sat at my Experian computer and deleted TL for my CNet friends. I made more money doing little favors than I did on my minimum wage job. I even figured that nobody would notice for years, until I'd virtually wiped their hard drives clean and the nationwise FICO score was raising....

and then I woke up, darn it. LOL
