My fiance opened a Net First account. I made him close it in May. They sent a refund check to him. NOW, I got a statement from them saying he owes $60. He called and the date of the charges were June and July...the account was already closed! They are telling him HE needs to dispute these charges because they "can do nothing"!! How can they bill us for charges made on a closed account? We haven't touched it..I cut the stupid thing up muself. It was obviously closed in good standing, we got the stupid $7.00 refund! What can we do? They are listing him as past due on his credit report now!
Send them their dispute in writing and also ask the nuts to update his info with the CRAs. Also I would complain to the FTC and anywhere else that you can. Dispute the entries with the CRAs and send in any supporting documentation. Get whatever in writing you can get from them. Now this lets me know what I thought about them anyway! Thanks to you!!
