Received TU report today. List of soft inquiries shows a credit card company (Juniper) whose account I discharged in November 2003 in a chap 7 as continuing to check my credit report. They did an inquiry 4/2004, and 5/2004.

Since their balance was DC'd by court in November of 2003, do I have recourse against them? I do not see where they have a right to view my report, when I have no account with them any long.

    Input is appreciated,

    Can I Sue?

bump, and emphasize. I would like some commentary, but my headline was weak.

    Hi BK,

    They have NO PP.

The second the account was closed, their PP was gone.

First, you may want to 'begin a dialogue' with the company.

You never know what they may put down on paper as being their reason, and when you disprove that reason, they may be caught trying to skip from one reason to another. :)

Plus, another bonus of the dialogue, is that it allows you to claim that you did everything that you could to settle this matter amicably without going through the legal system, but the defendant just wouldn't listen to reason. :)
