I am writing a letter to an original creditor (medical debt) that I paid with them after they sicked a CA on me. The CA has put an entry on my credit reports. I want to ask them to have the CA take their entry off my reports.

The debt was only $45 and was due to a car accident (should have been paid in the settlement precedings).

    Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I called the OC. Actually spoke with the same girl that took my payment by phone. She said they would not delete b/c it two years for them to be paid for the debt (spiteful). I argued that I never heard from the CA, nor did I pay THEM. She argued that they sent statements.

It did not matter, in her opinion. She said the CA were supposed to collect, but since the amount was so small, they might have put collection efforts on the backburner for some of the larger collection accounts.

The CA is now reporting it as paid.

I sent them a validation letter this morning. I am anxious about how they are going to respond.

    Feedback needed. Thanks!

Dispute it as being paid well before erroneously being sent to collections. Also, I believe TU has a policy of not reporting medical collections under $50. so if they are reporting it, call them.
