   I defaulted on debt in 1994--Well past seven years I know. But it is showing up on equafax under Collection agency info as:
   
   collection reported 09/01;assigned08/01
   date of last activity 08/97
   
   I have not paid anything since 1994.
   It doesn't show under credit account info.
   
   Thanks in advance for any advice.

   You could get real aggressive with this, but I would just send a validation letter to the CA, wait a few days and follow up by disputing it with the CRAs.
