I am writing because an old debt came up that I totally forgot about. When the credit collection agency called me I said that I was willing to set up a payment plan to pay off this debt (only about 600$). The gentleman I spoke with agreed and said that he would be putting a plan in writing and would be mailing it to me. Anyway, I was never sent the information. I just looked online at my credit report and the debt os listed. Is there anything I can do about this? Thank you

you should have sent them the VL and stayed off the phone.
That would have prevented them listing it on your reports.

They'll cook your goose like this with the phone every time.
