In september a judgement wast entered against me for 13,000 this is a credit card debt. They recently took all $500 i had in my bank account, i am currently unemployed and the house i live in is not mine. i should be employed soon but only at 24,000 to start, even with the new laws i know i am good candidate for chapter 7. i was considering sending a letter telling them that i will file for Bankruptcy if i can not settle this for a reasonable price, it will cost about 1,500 for bankruptcy and this is what i was going to offer. is this a good idea and if so what exactly should i say in the letter.
