Last fall I had 2 collections on my report which I disputed. Well they (Equifax) sent me a letter stating "could not be verified will be deleted" I pulled the report last month and its still on there. What do I do??
Dispute, in writing CM, to the CRA. Attach the letter that they sent you and tell them to immediately delete the TL. A
Sounds like re-insertion to me. Assuming I'm correct, do as Argento stated but, ellude to the fact that Equifax never provided the five day notice pursuant to the FCRA which is necessary to allow re-insertion of information on your credit reports. This generally yields removal.
