I had a "pay as you go" account with Dillards. It was not a credit card, but an account in which you pay money, and then get to spend that money with the card in their store (no idea what the point of that is). I got this is 1999 and have NEVER used it. THat account is now closed. On my credit report it shows as a credit card, open account since 1999, Zero balance, and Zero credit limit..."pays as agreed".

Should I dispute this and have it removed ? Is it helping or hurting since I have NEVER used it.

    Any advice?

You might dispute it as closed acct. But don't dispute as not mine. Any acct. that shows never late, pays as agrees, is a positive and is helping.

I have an old Lamonts card on mine. Saying 500 limit, open, pays as agrees.

Lamonts went out of business in 1998. Looks positive so it stays.
