Hereâ??s my dilemma: I sent a letter asking for proof of a debt showing on my credit report. They responded in writing by stating the acct was sold to â??Commercial Financialâ? and changed the credit report to a zero balance and added â??Account transferred or Sold/charge off. I believe this account is over 7 years old. What should I do? I WANT THIS OFF MY CREDIT REPORTS.
Send them a letter stating that the account is " what's the word"....oh my brain has just left for lunch. Outdated...no that's not the "credit term" but you get my drift. Make sure the account is in fact 7i yrs old. From the first date it went deliquent.
