I disputed some delinquit accounts on hubby's report on February 2 with TU. It took them until the 16th to send me a letter stating that they needed to verify his address and to send proof of the address. I did but where it says note I wrote as follows:

I am providing the information you requested but you will not get an extension of the 30 days because nowhere does it give you the right to drag your feet letting me know you need this information or does it give you the right to not proceed with the investigation until I give you this documentation. I am retaining copies of this for my files. It clearly states I disputed on February 2, 2003. You still only have until March 15th for your thirty days.

Hmmm. I think you may have goofed on that one. They can ask you for just about anything. You of course do not have to reply. It is their job to do the investigation. IF you do reply it would give them an additional 15 days under federal law.

Is it 15 days from the original or 15 days from when I sent in the information?
