CA sent me a letter for a debt I was totally unaware of(I never even got a bill) that was 2 years
past the SOL expiration. I responded with a validation letter, I later got a summons to appear in
small claims court and I went down to the court house and filed an answer citing that the SOL
had expired 2 years earlier, a week before the court date I received a letter from the Attorney
for the CA advising me that I could still settle the debt before the courtdate by calling him(I did
not).WHen I appeared on the courtdate and my case was called the clerk took one look at my answer and dismissed the Case on the spot.

I'm sure these guys employ intimidation tactics because they think you will be scared at the
prospect of going to court, not because they think they can win.

    Hi welcome to the board.

I wish more people would understand their rights. If they try to sue after SOL, they are actually SOL (**** out of luck!)

Good work. It seems like CAs have gotten pretty desperate lately. Most be the economy.
