It has been some time since I visited this site. Glad to see some familiar members still here. Thanks to the economy and not having a job after a layoff in January, it looks like I will be visiting this board more often once again in the future. Thanks to this board and their members I have been able to re-build my credit after a BK in 2000. I have been a member since 2001. Because of all your help, I have been able to obtain credit cards at decent rates and in 2005 was able to purchase a new home after having a previous foreclosure with my mortgage rate being fixed at 5.8%. However, now due to the fact I have been having an extremely hard time finding a new job and going through our savings as well as having some unforseen emergencies that we had to use our once paid off credit cards on, I find that we are once again forced with the prospect of bankruptcy. I am not a happy camper, but the good news is that we will be keeping our home as our attorney told us we were not in as bad a shape as we had thought. We won't be able to file a chapter 13 because there is no "disposable income." We will at some point try to re-build our credit once again, but at a more modest pace, living on a cash basis in the meantime. It's not an ideal situation, but at least most of the stress has decreased. Once again, I will rely on you for moral and re-building support. If the economy had not gone down the toilet along with my job, we as I am sure many of you facing the same situation would have been okay. Thanks for reading. dlo64
