Hey Dog. Any new AMEX Stuff

    Have you received any new pre-approvals from AMEX (such as a Blue card) or an offer to sign up for the Extended Payments on Travel Purchases? Since you are now one year old with them...they now have built a "spending pattern" on you...

    Hey Rick - I got one EMAIL saying I had been pre-selected for BLUE! At first I thought - finally - but
    when I clicked it went into application form status.

    Mom - got the preapproved - I was merely offered the chance to apply.

    I have seen others on here call AMEX 9 times a day and walk with a bunch of cards worth $$$$.
    I think that if you were Chap 13, you are lucky to even get a Card - and it could be that for me it will take longer to get preapproved for the next upgrade.

    I could call, ask, plead, but I want my CRs to be good enough to automatically pass me.

    ALL MY CHAP 13 negatives are gone 10.2003.
    Then I will automatically ZOOM up to Platinum.

    I remember when I first got the Card, the Acct MGR said I could have either revolving or charge. If I had taken revolving credit card - like Blue, I would have gotten a great reference and another low to mid line of credit. I had several $2-3K Cards at the time. I needed unlimited flexibility each month.

    Maybe they will screw up and preapprove me sometime soon :)

    I hope I don't have to answer this email with the same response at 18 or 24 months!

    Tried it yesterday! Got to 2 and made progress! Called new accounts to verify....they knew nothing....so that's 3. This morning called the Optima # on the back option '4' to re-verify and received a 100% guarentee that my Optima was indeed closed and Gold charge is on its way. So that's 4 calls. Hey...if all else fails....I've got 5 more attempts left! :))

    I'm proud of you! I believe they are doing it and I believe you will get the Gold like in a few more days.
    Again, that Optima seems to prove itself again and again.

    POST if you get it- no when - and hell I might start
    hitting speed dial to get GOLD! ARF - Dog

    I drove down to SJ yesterday - the traffic was just as lovely as expected!
