They used to have something called guaranteed credit. If you applied for one of the standard cards and were denied, they would offer a secured card like a $500 loc for a $99 deposit. I don't know if that is still available.

Not hard to get at all, they gave me a titanium card with 1k. I have low scores. 18.9% I think, and no fees.

I wouldn't say it's difficult, but you may not get favorable terms initially. If you maintain your account in good standing and are aggressive enough, the terms will improve significantly.

They report monthly, but opt out of their marketing to escape telemarketing hassles.

Did you get the above card as your first with them? And would my credit scores give me a shot?

Do you have a link to them??

First card with them. You have a shot. But, never any guarantees in this game.

I did not get instant approval. I think they ended up doing a manual, and seeing that I am not as bad as my scores may indicate. Received notice in mail, and got the card 2 weeks after or so.

You dont know which credit report they pull do you???
did you ask them to do a manual or did they do that by themselves??

They pulled Experian, but it seems all credit cards pull Experian for me.

I didnt ask for anything, I just think they did, after I got the 'we will let you know' notice.

NO ONE pulls Equifax for me, I AM GLAD! Well I do have some damn CA pulling it, hehe.

How many inquiries do you have now, & how old is the most recent?

it depends on what report they pull.. if experian my last one was in jan 2002 nothing since. the other two have been 11 and 12 of 2001.

DMB is actually one of my better cards at this point. I have the titanium rate rewards. They started me at $4000 about 3 years ago and now I am at 12,500 and have 8.9% APR. I did call retention at one point to get a better rate, but they are pretty aggressive with line increases. I never had to ask for one.

When I was approved my credit was not at all impressive. I had several good tradelines but also had 2 judgments, a collection and 1 30 day late. They pulled experian for me. Not sure what my score was at the time. Good luck if you decide to apply. I think they are a good company to deal with.

That is the response I got and I got a card. If you get denied, try disputing the inquiry.

I wouldn't suggest you disputing the inquiry until you are sure you were in fact denied. If you were approved and you dispute the inquiry, DMB could become suspicious of possible fraud.

oh yes i was gonna wait till i got the denial letter to dispute the inquiry.
