I just wanted to say hello, I've been reading the board for about 2 weeks now. I'm sending out my first validation letters tomarrow. The accounts I'm concerned with are medical collections, that were incurred while I was covered by medicaid for pregnancy in 1999. I've spoken to Medicaid, and they are pulling a report for me to see what was paid by them at the time. I've also spoken to the OC, who has informed me that the CA that is reporting them should not be. OC pulled back ALL accounts from them 2 years ago. OC is willing to work with me, so I think I've got a good start. So, I'm off to the post office in the morning. Thanks for all the wonderful informative advice. ~M
Hi dunlopiii Sounds like you are off to a good start. This is a good site although I am pretty new myself. Lots of people willing to give their advice. If you have a specific question, just put it in the title and if it looks interesting, you should get lots of answers. Good luck pb
Don't forget to dispute with the CRA as soon as you receive the green cards back. Since the OC has pulled these accounts back, hopefully it will be easy deletions for you.
If they came back verified (I'm guessing it did), it might cause them to want deny reinvestigation. But there are always way around that. If you can get the creditors to admit they're wrong, then you would have them put it in writing, and you can go to the CRAs with that.
